the successful candidate will provide technical capacity
and scientific expertise to examine the status and
trends of water resources necessary to support the
Treaty rights in South Puget Sound reserved by the
Squaxin Island Tribe in 1854. Core responsibilities
include 1) managing a network of gaged streams and wells
to produce annual stream flow reports, 2) investigating
and reporting on specific water resource issues as
requested by Tribal leadership, and 3) review and
comment on external water right permit applications.
Preference will be given to licensed hydrogeologists,
geologists, or engineering geologists.

position of Agricultural Specialist. The position will
serve as a senior agriculture advisor to the EPA
Regional Administrator and the EPA Regional Executive
Team and serve as the regional agriculture sector lead
for the EPA regional office. The position will be
responsible for developing and promoting sustainable
agricultural practices and policies with an emphasis on
reducing carbon emissions, sequestering carbon,
pesticide risk reduction and protecting and restoring
air and water quality. The work would be done in close
collaboration with producers, other EPA staff and
programs and other federal agencies, tribes, states and
local government. We are looking for someone with a
strong background in agricultural and environmental
policies and practices, who is enthusiastic, proactive
and effective at working with producers and across
agencies, interests and media (e.g, water, air and land)
, who can think and act strategically and can identify
and take advantage of opportunities to collaborate and
enhance EPA's regulatory and voluntary programs for
reducing environmental impacts from agricultural
production. This is a full-time position as an
Environmental Scientist at the GS-13 level in the Office
of Ecosystems, Tribal and Public Affairs, Ecosystem and
Community Health Unit, Seattle, Washington. The
